Faculty of Vedanta

Department of Vedanta

Indian Philosophy is broadly classified into two. Namely orthodox and heterodox. Astika Darshana again consists of six schools namely Sankhya, Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Purva-meemamsa and Vedanta. Vedanta is a philosophical culmination which brings the message of sages for the spiritual enlightenment of one and all.

The study of the classical texts of Vedanta, together with a comparative perspective is the need of the hour. Keeping this in view, courses in vedanta are being offered where the student studies the classical texts of Sri Shankaracharya, Sri Ramanujacharya, Sri Madhvacharya. Classes in Vedanta are conducted by eminent and profound scholars in Advaita, Vishishtadvaita and Dvaita Vedanta.
