durbalasya balaṃ rājā, bālānāṃ rodanaṃ balam |
balaṃ mūrkhasya maunitvaṃ caurāṇāmanṛtaṃ balam ||
A king forms the strength of the weak; crying forms the strength of a child. Keeping mum forms the strength of a fool; lying forms the strength of thieves.
